Legally defensible relationship DNA testing for Family Law
We are pleased to offer MoJ accredited DNA testing services to individuals and organisations across the UK – with results offered in 3–5 days.
At Cansford we work with a quality assured Ministry of Justice partner laboratory to provide a range of relationship DNA testing. The service meets Ministry of Justice (MoJ) standards around parentage testing, as directed by civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969.
Samples can be used to test paternal, maternal and sibling relationships.
Results are typically used in cases relating to child custody and protection, family disputes, immigration cases, passport and visa applications, questions of inheritance and adoption, and birth certificate amendments.
Collection is done using an oral swab to take the sample from the inside of a cheek.
Cansford provide a responsive sample collection service via our UK network of qualified collectors. We adhere to chain of custody documentation protocols to ensure that the test results remain legally defensible in courts of law and government agencies, as necessary.
